Welcome to the Women’s International Film & Arts Festival. In only its second year, WIFF established itself as a premier international festival and won the New Times award for Best Film Festival in Miami. The inaugural and second year festival featured world-renowned Golden Globe American Gangster and Emmy Award winning actress and civil rights activist Ruby Dee, who continues to serve as WIFF’s honorary chairperson. Year two resulted in the fabulous Academy Award nominated actress Adriana Barazza, from the film Babel, participating in our festival.  Year three included Alley Sheedy (from The Breakfast Club), NAACP Image Award recipient Victoria Rowel (Of Boys and Men, The Distinguished Gentleman, Eve’s Bayou) and international recording artist Lucrecia. In 2010 the beautiful and fabulous Vivica A. Fox premiered her film, “Junkyard Dog” with us.
